To enable the emergency stabilization for the Grand Lycee building in the Lycee Petion complex, established in 1816.
The building was designed by Georges Baussan who was trained at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, and also designed the National Palace.
The Petion school building is located in the historic center of Port au Prince and slums have grown around it since it was abandoned.
Restoration of the Petion would not only save this historic building, but also improve conditions of the surrounding community.
