Grant Description

To support the research and documentation of the traditional knowledge of communities in a key Afro-Colombian region.

The region of Choco has remained in relative isolation for hundreds of years, and the traditional cultural expressions have been retained. With a new road cutting through the region, the culture will be vulnerable to globalization.
