To restore and conserve the Guzara Castle, attributed to Emperor Sarsa Dengel, built in the 1570's.
Considered one of the most significant medieval sites in Northern Ethiopia, Guzara was once the prosperous center of Ethiopia.
The archaeological, architectural, historical, religious, and artistic value of its cultural landscape paints a rich and complete picture of the castle's planning. The design contains details of Ethiopian traditional architecture with some indications of foreign influence.
