Grant Description
Starting on April 20, 2012, Comoros experienced torrential rains causing flooding, landslides, and destruction.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Financial Tracking Service (flow ID #98437), in 2012, the Chinese government donated $200,000 USD to the Government of Comoros for disaster relief and early recover efforts. This donation is marked as fully paid.
The financial commitment and disbursement dates are unknown.
However, evidence of this donation first appears on page 4 of the UN's Flash Flood Situation Report #6, which summarizes flood relief activities in Comoros as of 25 May 2012.
