Grant Description

In 2013, China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Government of Nigeria signed a $1 million grant agreement for Phase 1 of Abuja Solar-Powered Traffic Control Signal Project.

The project involved the installation of 266 solar-power traffic light at 74 traffic intersections in Abuja (Federal Capital Territory). The project was implementing by Poly New Energy Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. The project commenced in 2013 and it was officially completed on August 6, 2015.
