Grant Description
In 2018, the Chinese Embassy and the Government of Nigeria signed a grant agreement for the Nyanya-Abuja Primary School Renovation Project. This project involved the construction of two additional classrooms at the Nyanya Primary School in Abuja (FCT). These classrooms were equipped with desks, benches, whiteboards, and ceiling fans.
China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) was the contractor responsible for implementation.
This project was officially completed and handed over to the Nigerian authorities by the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria on July 6, 2018.
The Abuja China-Assisted Model Primary School was built with the aid of the Chinese government in 2011 and is one of the local primary schools with better conditions for running schools (see linked Record ID#2134).
With the funding of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, the school now has two new classrooms and a fully repaired school building.
