On September 7, 2015, the China Navy Peace Ark hospital ship began "Harmony Mission-2015" to visit seven countries including Malaysia, Barbados, French Polynesia, Australia, the United States, Mexico, and Peru. The ship arrived at the Port of Brisbane in Australia on October 7, 2015.
The mission was a 142-day trip to provide free medical and humanitarian services, engage in military diplomacy, and promote Chinese culture.
The ship's 29 teams was composed of 118 medical personnel from Naval Hospitals 411 and 413 and the Second Military Medical University of the People's Liberation Army.
According to the China Ministry of National Defense, 1,741 visits and 59 operations, including 19 nursing home visits and 24 academic exchanges, were performed. The ship was also equipped with an ambulance helicopter. The known sub-projects are: Mexico: #70175 Barbados: #54855
