Grant Description
On November 29, 2017, representatives for the Governments of China and Dominica signed an aid agreement that granted 100 million RMB to Dominica.
It is assumed that this was an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA), due to the denomination in RMB and the fact that, at the time of signing, the precise projects that the grant would fund were not known.
However, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit noted that, more than likely, the funds would be used to reconstruct schools damaged in the hurricane, and rebuilding them as climate resilient.
Thus, it is possible that this grant provided funding to Record ID#55830 and/or #71512, although a subsequent ETCA signed in October 2018 (see Record ID#55922) also had funds earmarked for school reconstruction.
