USPTO Global Intellectual Property Academy (GIPA) hosted four-day training program on trademarks, with a particular focus on trademark examination.

Program objectives include: fostering better understanding of international intellectual property obligations and norms, introducing the U.S. system as an example of providing WTO Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) Agreement-level protection for trademarks, and promoting discussion of trademark examination issues through the use of case studies.
