Grant Description
China Eximbank provides $5.04 million loan for Kenimeh-1 Pumping Station Reconstruction Project On May 6, 2014, China Eximbank and National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan signed a $5.0407 million loan agreement for the Kenimeh-1 Pumping Station Reconstruction Project.
This project is located in the Navoi region in Uzbekistan. The total project cost was $5.306 million USD, with the Uzbek Government financing the remaining costs.
The purpose of the project was to improve the irrigation system of the Navoi region through the reconstruction of water pumping stations. China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd is the contractor responsible for project implementation. The Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Uzbekistan was responsible for overseeing implementation.
