Grant Description

China provides Togo with RMB 20 million interest-free loan through 2009 ETCA On December 24th, 2009, Chinese Ambassador to Togo signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) with the Togolese Minister of Cooperation, Development and Planning totaling 40 million RMB.

The agreement consisted of a 20 million RMB interest-free loan and a 20 million RMB grant (see Record ID#70796) for unspecified purposes.

The funds are to be used for the realization or the completion of specific cooperation projects decided by the two governments, in particular in the areas of agriculture, health, education, grassroots development and infrastructure.
