On September 22, 2011, Bolivian president and vice president, Evo Morales and Alvaro García Linera respectively, and the Chinese vice premier, Hui Liangyu signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) in which China granted Bolivia 20 million RMB (about 3 million USD) for the the execution of investment projects and acquisition of capital goods, particularly Chinese-made machinery.
However, it is not clear what projects these grants ended up funding.
This is one of two agreements signed on the same day, the other granting 1 million RMB for general supply acquisition (Record ID#70648).
In addition to these two, four other cooperation agreements were signed on the same day during Hui Liangyu's visit to Bolivia, focusing on banking, telecommunications, and agriculture.
Project #70648 was signed the same day, and the two agreements should not be confused as duplicates.
