Grant Description

On October 14, 2016, the Chinese Government and the Government of Bangladesh signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) in which the Chinese Government committed RMB 500 million ($74.452 million USD) in grant funding to Bangladesh for unspecified purposes.

This grant was one of the 27 agreements signed by China and Bangladesh during of Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Bangladesh. The total value of the 27 projects of the MoU is reportedly worth about USD 20 billion.
