Grant Description

On January 20, 2005, the Chinese Government and the Government of Grenada signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim to normalize relations between the two countries.

As part of this agreement, the Chinese Government agreed to, among other things, provide $1 million USD in grant aid to Grenada until 2009.

The following projects are known to have explicitly followed this MoU: -ID#39893 - May 2008 donation of $1 million USD to the Grenadian Government for general budget support and civil servant back pay. -ID#69386 - December 2008 grant of approximatively $8.6 million USD via an ETCA to the Grenadian Government for unspecified purposes. -ID#85822 - June 2009 grant of $6 million USD via an ETCA to the Grenadian Government for unspecified purposes. -ID#69384 - December 2009 donation of $1 million USD to the Grenadian Government for unspecified purposes.
