Grant Description
China Development Bank pledges 150 Million USD Credit Line to Argentina National Bank in Memorandum of Cooperation On July 13, 2010, the Chinese and Argentine presidents signed 12 cooperation agreements, one of which was a Memorandum of Cooperation between the China Development Bank and the Argentina National Bank (Banco de la Nación Argentina) that pledged a credit line of 150 million USD (See: "中国和阿根廷签署12个合作文件." However, there is no evidence a loan agreement was ever signed.
Staff Comments
This pledge may have been the precursor to the credit line committed in 54562, though the recipient agencies are different and the amount of time that passed between the two is more than is typical. As a result, the assumption has been made that this is a pledge for which a loan commitment never materialized, and is a separate project from 54562.
