Grant Description

Based on the news release from the Embassy of China in Myanmar and China National Petroleum Cooperation (CNPC), in 2011, CNPC's subsidiary, the Southeast Asia Pipeline Company (SEAP) spent $680,000 USD to build two education buildings and one office building for Kyaukpyu No. 1 Middle School.

The seventh Chinese-Myanmar friendship school was later established at Kyaukpyu No. 1 Middle School (captured in #64259). The total construction area was 2500 square meters. The handover ceremony took place on July 21, 2012.

The new school building enable all students to take classes at the same time and made the school becomes the largest secondary school in Rakhine State.
