Grant Description

According to a dataset of foreign-financed projects that Syria’s State Planning Commission (SPC) provided to UNDP Syria in May 2011, the Chinese Government agreed (at least in principle) to provide a grant for the Al-Fayhaa Sports Stadium Rehabilitation Project.

The purpose of this project was to rehabilitate the Al-Fayhaa Sports Stadium in the city of Damascus (locational coordinates: 33.528365, 36.298259). The intended grant recipient was Syria’s Ministry of Local Administration. However, AidData has not identified any evidence that this project secured an official grant commitment.

Nor has AidData identified any evidence of project implementation.
