China Eximbank pledges $57 million loan for 50MW power plant in Rakhine State On October 24, 2013, President U Thein Sein proposed the construction of a 50-megawatt natural gas-fueled power plant in Rakhine State.

More than USD $57 million was reportedly earmarked for the project from an RMB 30 billion (about $4.93 billion) loan pledge from China Eximbank (recorded in the linked Record ID#64665). However, terms of the loan are unknown.
