Grant Description

In August 2016, the Chinese Government signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) granting the Government of Niger 300 million RMB. The Minister Delegate for Foreign Affairs Mrs.

El Back Zeinabou Tari Bako, representing the Nigerien government, signed the agreement, which is a follow-up actions to the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on Sino-African Cooperation held in 2016.

This donation was intended to finalize the construction of the National Referral Hospital in Niamey (#30415), the third bridge project (#58039), and also included 36 30-seat minibusses, 30 luxury automobiles, and 100 escort motorcycles (#58557)

The third bridge project was financed by another ETCA signed 26 August 2016 equal to 250 million RMB (project #58006, 58007), so these could be duplicates. It's difficult to know because the breakdowns for all of these ETCAs are unclear.
