[Umbrella] Chinese Government provides loans for the White Nile Grid Project In 2006, the Chinese Government agreed to finance the White Nile Grid Project via multiple loans.

The White Nile Grid Project involved the construction of multiple 220 KV transmission lines between Er Roseires, Rank (Renk), Rabak, Khartoum, and El Obied.
