Grant Description

On August 27, 2006, the China Ministry of Commerce signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) providing RMB 10 million to the Government of Serbia for multiple projects.

According to the MOFCOM report, RMB 5 million was earmarked for the provision of office equipment and the remaining RMB 5 million was earmarked for training of Serbian officials. It is unclear whether these funds were ever disbursed.

According to the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) 2011 Annual Report, NBS signed two banking arrangements with the China Development Bank (CDB) for the disbursement of non-refundable aid approved under ETCAs signed between 2006 and 2009. The arrangements are worth RMB 10 million each (EUR 2 million in total).
