Grant Description

On July 3, 2009, the Chinese Government and the Government of Moldova signed letters of exchange, which committed RMB 5 million of grant funding for the provision of office supplies to the Moldovan Presidency and Parliamentary Offices. On July 16, 2009, government Moldova officially accepted this aid from the Chinese government.

The Chinese Government agreed to purchase and send the supplies but the Government Moldova assumed responsible for customs clearance and the transportation of the goods after they arrived in Chisinau. It is unclear whether or when the proceeds from this grant were utilized.
