Grant Description

On September 11, 2009, the Chinese and Armenian governments agreed that China will donate 20 million RMB to the Armenian government.

This grant will be a continuation of the already established ETCA, signed by the Chinese Ambassador to Armenia and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia in June 2009 (See Record ID#66391).

Prior to the September 11 agreement, China had already donated 70 million yuan to the Armenian government in connection with this ETCA. The grant of 20 million yuan was planned to be delivered on September 15, 2009. The purpose of the funding is unknown.
