Grant Description

On August 8, 2018, the Chinese Embassy provides a scholarship for outstanding Malaysian students studying at Xiamen University in Malaysia. These students are selected for the 2017 academic year.

The scholarship, named Chinese Ambassador Scholarship, is awarded to 20 students majoring in 12 departments including New Energy and Engineer, Chinese Medicine Study, Chinese Studies, Journalism, Accounting, etc.

The Chinese Ambassador Scholarship was established by the Chinese Ambassador to encourage Malay students to study at the branch campus and expand the cultural friendship between China and Malaysia.

The award-winning students will also inspire more students to study hard in the future and contribute to the friendship and development of China and Malaysia.

On March 10, 2017, the Embassy of China provides the same scholarship for 10 outstanding students from Xiamen University in Malaysia for the 2016 academic year (captured in Record ID#66245). Each student received RM 12,000.
