Grant Description

In 2018, China's National Energy Administration (NEA) and the Department of Energy of the Philippines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to help the country create a "development plan" for the local power industry.

Under the MoU, NEA would be building ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plants — two 150MW plants in Cebu, one 600 MW plant in Luzon. The current implementation status of this project is unknown.
