Grant Description

Mali - Bamako-Senou Airport Improvement Project - LANDSIDE INFRASTRUCTURE ACTIVITY: This Project Activity will expand the size, quality, and operational efficiency of the Airport's landside infrastructure so that it can accommodate the significant increases in passenger and cargo traffic forecast for Mali in the future.

Improvements will include construction of a new passenger terminal building with a floor area of approximately 15,000 square meters and a capacity of approximately 1.5 million passengers per annum at a Category "C" Level of Service according to International Air Transportation Association (IATA) standards; construction of other related landside facilities, including access and internal circulation roads and vehicle parking lots; construction of an integrated central utilities plant; construction and installation of water supply and distribution systems; construction and installation of wastewater drainage and treatment facilities, storm water and solid waste disposal systems; demolition of the existing air freight terminal and blast fences; demolition, replacement and enlargement of the ground service equipment facilities adjacent to the apron area.
