Egyptian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Egyptian Joint Development Association Organized Annual Ramadan Charity Event

On 27 May 2018, the Egyptian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Egyptian Joint Development Association jointly organized a Ramadan charity event where the staff of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt and the employees of Chinese-funded enterprises distributed Ramadan gift boxes and provided "Iftar" to the Egyptian people.

The initiative lasted 15 days and was expected to distributed over 2,000 boxes of supplies and 5,000 meals across Egypt including Cairo, Giza, Fayoum, Beni Suef, and Aswan. Chinese companies donated around 600,000 Egyptian Pounds to help finance the initiative.
