Grant Description
On September 13, 2023, MCC's Board of Directors suspended all MCC assistance to Niger, based on the finding that the military's actions against the democratically elected government constitute a pattern of actions inconsistent with the criteria used to determine the eligibility of Niger for assistance, under Section 611(a)(2) of the Millennium Challenge Act of 2003, as amended, and pursuant to MCC's Policy on Suspension and Termination...Niger - Agriculture Project - Diversified Agriculture Activity: MCC Funding will be used to support sustainable increases in productivity and farm incomes in Eligible Communes by strengthening the resiliency of farmers and agro-pastoralists to the impacts of climate (the "Climate-Resilient Agriculture Activity" or "CRA Activity").
