Grant Description

Lesotho - HEALTH SECTOR PROJECT - Central Lab Infrastructure Activity: The central laboratory to be constructed with MCC Funding is critical to the national HIV/AIDS prevention, ART and TB programs. In-country and short-term external training for laboratory staff also will be supported through this Project activity.

MCC Funding will support the following: (i) design and construction of the new central laboratory; (ii) equipping of the new central laboratory; (iii) preparation of environmental "Project Briefs"; (iv) implementation of environmental and social mitigation measures; and (v) training for new equipment, service expansion and quality assurance associated with the new central laboratory.
