Grant Description

On September 9, 2015, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Chinese President Xi Jingping signed a strategic partnership agreement in Beijing, China (""Joint Statement of the People's Republic of China and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership"").

On the same day, the Chinese Government and the Government of Jordan signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (中约经济技术合作协定 or ETCA), which committed RMB 130 million of grant funding for unspecified purposes.

The ETCA was signed by Jordan's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Imad Fakhoury, and China's Minister of Commerce, Gao Hucheng.
