Grant Description

On September 10, 2012, China International Water and Electrical Corporation and Electricite du Laos (EDL) signed the EPC general contracting MOU for the Sekanman 2 Hydropower Station (or Xe kaman or 色坎曼2水电站).

The project is located in Sekong Province, Laos, with an installed capacity of 135,000 kilowatts, and it is expected to generate 700 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually after completion.

There are no resources later than 2012 updating the project and on the official webpage of China International Water and Electrical Corporation there is no report except the EPC signed. It seems that the project never entered the implementation stage.
