Grant Description

This project will: 1) Enhance 221 hectares/545.87 acres through desilting 5 Km/3.1 miles of San Juan river and rehabilitating 2 Km/1.24 miles of rainwater collectors to direct water into the wetland. 2) Rehabilitate a wastewater treatment plant and install 70 dry toilets, 30 biodigesters and 5 containers for agricultural waste. 3) Monitor habitat use by waterfowl and shorebirds. 4) Train 260 teachers and 150 farmers who own properties adjacent to the lagoons in better agricultural practices
