Grant Description

China signs ETCA with Antigua and Barbuda including 20 million CNY credit line On 17 March 2010, China signed two ETCAs with Antigua and Barbuda involving a 20 million CNY interest-free line of credit (captured in this project) and a 30 million CNY grant (see linked Record ID#64582).

The credit line has a usage period of 5-years from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2014 and a 10-year repayment period from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2029.

According to Antigua and Barbuda's Ambassador to China, the financing will be utilized by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda to continue the infrastructural projects being carried out by the Chinese Construction teams to include the Island Wide Street Lighting Project, the Grays Farm Reservoir, the Barbuda Social Centre and the Grays Green Gutter Renovation and any additional projects identified by the Government.
