Grant Description

On July 6, 2018, China sent two emergency rescue teams to Phuket Island, Thailand in response to the capsizing of two tourist boats, which carried 122 tourists in total.

One of the rescue teams, or the inter-agency joint working groups, was consisted of 10 people and was dispatched by the Ministry of Transportation of China and coordinated by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The other team of 7 people was from Haining, Zhejiang. The rescue lasted for 11 days.
