Grant Description

On 24 November 2004, the Chinese government signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vanuatu government for the Implementation of Chinese Tourist Teams (or 关于中国旅游团队赴瓦努阿图旅游实施方案的谅解备忘录).

The MOU was for the Chinese Tourism Team's Implementation Plan for Vanuatu Tourism, which resulted in Vanuatu officially becoming a destination for Chinese tourists.

In 2016, "the first batch of Gestad "Atlantic" cruise ships carrying more than 2,000 Chinese tourists docked at Port Vila" ("中国同瓦努阿图的关系").
