Grant Description
On March 30th, 2015, a welcome ceremony was held for the arrival of the 10th Chinese Medical team to Port Vila Central Hospital (or 援瓦维拉港第十期医疗队). The ceremony was attended by the Chinese Ambassador, Xie Bohua, and the Vanuatu Minister of Health, Willie Reuben Abel.
The team was based at the Port Vila Central Hospital and, according to "THE 10th CHINESE MEDICAL TEAM ARRIVED IN PORT VILA," the medical team included "General Surgery, Mr. Wang Dianjun, General Physician, Ms. Li Ping, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ms. Yang Li, and Interpreter, Mr.
Shen Jiwei." The team left Vanuatu after a farewell ceremony on September 16th, 2016 ("驻瓦努阿图大使刘全出席援瓦维拉港第十期医疗队欢送仪式"). Chinese medical teams have been sent to Port Vila Central Hospital since 1993 and include 7-9 doctors.
