Grant Description

On February 20, 2013, the Chinese Government and the Government of the Cook Islands signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) in which the Chinese Government committed RMB 20 million ($3.7 million NZD) in grant funding to the Cook Islands for unspecified purposes.

According to a document from the Cook Islands Ministry of Finance (p. 59) this grant was announced in October 2013 and was to be "channeled into the 2014/15 Budget process for allocation."
