Through the proposed project, we will further our understanding of the causes and..consequences of bird-building collisions and use this new understanding to reduce bird mortality through..outreach, education, and collision reduction measures.
Our efforts will include monitoring collisions at..commercial and residential buildings, installing collision-reducing measures and quantifying post-installation..collision rates, tracking the survival of post-collision and free-ranging Neotropical migrants using nanotags and..Motus tracking stations, and determining how the physical characteristics of glass interacts with the environment..to influence collision rates at buildings and in an experimental flight tunnel.
