Grant Description
In 2009, Chongqing Municipal Government provided RMB 10 million grant for the Chongqing (Laos) Comprehensive Agricultural Park (or 中国重庆（老挝）农业综合园区示范项目 or 万象重庆农业园区).
Financing: Chongqing Municipal Government decided early in 2009 to provide a RMB 10 million grant to support the project in the Chongqing (Laos) Agricultural Comprehensive Park.
The first RMB 500,000 of the fund has been disbursed on July 10, 2009 ("重庆市政府决定安排1,000万元人民币扶持中国重庆（老挝）农业综合园区示范配套建设"). Construction: The project is an agricultural cooperation demonstration project established in 2004.
The cooperation agreement is signed by the Chongqing Municipal Government and the Laos Vientiane Municipal Government ("重庆市政府决定安排1,000万元人民币扶持中国重庆（老挝）农业综合园区示范配套建设"). In March 2004, the lease contract for the 45 acre of land for the first phase of the project was signed.
On Dec 3, 2008, the cooperation contract for 30000 acre land for the second phase was signed between Chongqing Huali Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. and the provincial government of Vientiane. ("重庆(老挝)综合农业园区二期3万亩土地签约"). Purpose: The total development area of the park is 5,000 hectares.
So far, the above-mentioned parks have started projects such as rice flower planting, facility agriculture, rice processing plants and supporting facilities in the park ("重庆(老挝)综合农业园区二期3万亩土地签约").
