China Eximbank funded feasibility study for 230kV Ban Hat-Saphaothong Power Transmission Line Project.
According to a report by Asian Development Bank, the power transmission line is 160 km long, financed by the export-import Bank of China and owned by EDL. The project period is from 2017 to 2020 and the expected commercial operation date is 2020.
The current status of this project is under feasibility study ("Lao PDR Accelerating Structural Transformation For Inclusive Growth" pdf p.183).
