Grant Description

The purpose of this project is to support the Gabonese National Parks Agency (ANPN) by providing aerial support for protected area management and conservation.

This project is intended to conserve wildlife by monitoring for illegal human activities in and around national parks and buffer zones on land and in the water.

Specific activities include: (1) aerial surveillance and monitoring of human activities and wildlife to regularly assess Gabons national parks and coastline; and (2) technical and logistical assistance to assist in the development of ANPNs aviation program, including data management and reporting, and to support on-the-ground protection efforts.
