Grant Description

According to a 2006 World Food Program report, the Chinese Government donated 531,000 tons of food to North Korea in 2005.

However, this claim is not corroborated by the Chinese Government’s reporting to the World Food Program’s International Food Aid Information System (INTERFAIS); therefore, AidData has status-coded this record a pledge for the time being.

World Food Program’s International Food Aid Information System (INTERFAIS) only reports a total of 47,614 tons of rice and 227,532 tons of wheat donated to the Government of North Korea in 2005 (see linked Record ID#86281 and Record ID#86282).
