On 15 June 2017, the Chinese Embassy in Namibia launched the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship Fund by awarding the first 11 students from Highline Secondary School with a total of 330,096 NAD (#67754).
As of November 2018, 400 students from 26 schools in ten Namibian provinces in Namibia have been awarded a Chinese Ambassador Scholarship.
This program is different from the Chinese Government Scholarship which annually sends 40 Namibian students to study at a Chinese university. The following lists the scholarships we know of so far: 11 students from Highline Secondary School (#67754) Dr.
Lemmer Middle School and Mariental High School in Hardap Province (#67756) Nossob Combined Primary School and Mokganedi Thlabanello Middle School in Omaheke Province (#67755) 40 students from four primary and middle schools in Khomas Province (#62449) Outja Middle School and additional unnamed middle school in Kunene Province (#67757) 65 students from Namib Middle School, Martin Luther Middle School, Walvis Bay International School and Dana Middle School in Erongo Province (#67758) 30 students from Mao Zedong Middle School, People's Primary School and Monta Cristo Primary School in Khomas Province (#67761) 100 students from 7 schools from 3 provinces (#67763) 80 students from 7 schools from Omusati, Oshana and Ohangwena Provinces (#67766) 10 students from Otjomuise Elementary School in Windhoek (#67767)
