Grant Description

The purpose of this project is to support the Gabonese National Parks Agency (ANPN) by providing aerial support for protected area management and conservation.

The project is intended to conserve wildlife by monitoring for illegal human activities in and around national parks and buffer zones on land and in the water.

Specific activities include: (1) extensive aerial surveillance and monitoring of human activities and wildlife to regularly assess Gabons national parks and coastline; (2) timely logistical support through punctual aviation to assist ANPN protection teams; and (3) technical assistance to aid ANPN in the development of their aviation program including data management and reporting.
