Grant Description

On December 30, 2014, the Chinese government provided a 700 million RMB grant through an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) to Cambodia for unspecified purposes. A 200 million RMB interest-free loan ETCA was also signed on the same day (see #62489).

RMB 4 million of this ETCA funding went towards the National Road Network Planning Project (see linked Record ID#61789). H.E. Mr.

Yang Jiechi, Chinese State Councilor, led a delegation to attend the Second China-Cambodia Inter-governmental Coordination Committee Meeting from 30 - 31 December 2014 in Phnom Penh.

Assistant Minister Zhang Xiangchen of the China Ministry of Commerce and Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hor Namhong signed 6 cooperation documents, including the two ETCAs between the governments of China and Cambodia.
