Grant Description
On February 17, 2011, the Chinese Ambassador to Algeria, Liu Yuhe, and Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gen. Delmi Boudjema, signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) for unspecified purposes. On July 13, 2011, a second agreement was signed by the Chinese Government and the Government of Algeria.
The agreement clarified the implementation of the ETCA signed by the two governments on February 17, 2011.
According to the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ETCA signed on February 17, 2011 was intended to strengthen Chinese and Algerian cooperation in multiple sectors and especially in Chinese technology transfer.
