Grant Description
On April 6, 2013, the Government of Peru and the Government of China signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA), granting the Government of Peru 40 million RMB. The agreement was to finance unspecified government projects at the time of signing. It was ratified on October 17, 2013, and effective as of March 4th, 2014.
Banking procedures were handled by the China Development Bank and the Bank of the Nation of Peru (Banco de la Nación del Perú).
This project is linked to Record ID#56101 which is a 20 million RMB grant for biotechnical equipment for the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations, covered through this agreement.
The other half of the grant was pledged to help fund the construction of COEN - the National Emergency Operations Center in Letters of Exchange signed on November 12, 2014 (Record ID#71714}}.
It was confirmed that funds from this grant supported the COEN project, though whether the 20 million RMB initially pledged was the amount actually used is not confirmed.
