Grant Description

Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund provides a loan to Thailand for a water resource research project On October 11, 2018, the Chinese Government and Thailand Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a water resources research project related to climate change mitigation and hydropower development.

According to the agreement, the Chinese Government would provide project funding via the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund (see Umbrella Record ID#49339). The value of this loan is unknown. The status of implementation is also unknown.
