Grant Description

On December 14, 2016, the Chinese Government granted RMB 57 million for the Enhancement of Public Transportation Project. Under this project, China Yutong Company provided 100 public transport vehicles to the city of Phnom Penh.

The project started began on December 16, 2016 ("Project/Program Information and Implementation Arrangments", "中国与柬埔寨签署无偿援助经济技术合作协定").

The handover ceremony was held on July 13, 2017 ("檀勍生临时代办出席援柬100辆公交车辆项目交接仪式").

These buses will be used to open new bus routes, improve transportation, and reduce congestion, traffic accidents, and environmental pollution in Phnom Penh.
