Grant Description
In 2017, the Chinese Government provided US $14 million grant for the First Phase of Rural Road Renovation Project (or First Phase of Rural Road Improvement Project or 柬埔寨乡村道路项目一期通).
Phase I of the project was started in July 2017, and it included the construction of 6 roads and one bridge: in the Kampong Speu Province, a 125-meter bridge was constructed and connected to the road, while in Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, and Kampong Chhnang City, 6 rural roads are renovated with a total length of 35.5 kilometers.
Shanghai Construction Engineering Group (SCG) was responsible for the construction. Phase I was completed on May 28, 2019. This project is linked to Record ID#61781, which captures the second phase of the Rural Road Renovation Project.
